Hhhmmmmmmmmmmm, that looks to me like a pretty good contender for the February "Photo Of The Month" contest - just sayin'!!

I got Scottie & Louie in May of 2020 just several days after my precious female named Scarlett passed. I had her since August of 1984 and also, my African Grey since 1981. When Scarlett passed, I found myself no longer wanting to go on with life, and then I immediately sought out baby Scarlet Macaws to allow her spirit to live on vicariously through them, which is what is happening now. I really don’t see how I could possibly manage to exist without my precious male Scarlet Macaws siblings. Here’s their mommy and daddy back in 2020.

When I first got my CAG it took me days to figure out where sound was coming from! I now look forward to it! It usually means that she's preparing to shut down for the day!

I call it “parrot computer brain going into standby mode”🥰
I have snuggles with my lorikeet Lovejoy at the end of every day, he DEMANDS at least an hour of snuggle time before he goes to bed. BUUUUUTTTTT he is very strict about it and won't settle in for scritches until he's done grinding his beak for a good 20 mins or so. This is him, the smallest bird in the house around whom everyone and everything else revolves - ain't it always the way!!

There’s nothing better than being owned by a parrot except…being owned by two parrots!

It always amazes me when I see a bird with a bolt cutter attached to his face delicately beaking his human! That's some serious love and trust!

What was it like when the boys went through puberty? Any issues? It looks like they chew their feathers a bit. How long has that been going on? Any ideas on why?
