Galah - Nigel
My galah is only 14weeks old and I've only had him for three days now. He already knows how to step up and down and he really enjoys climbing up and down my arm ( the scratch marks are everywhere:( )
I have brought a number of cage toys and foot toys but he is terrified of them all is there away I can get him use to the toys with out totally freaking him out?

Lots of birds are very fearful of anything new in their cage, it doesn't have to be toys, it can be a perch, a new food dish, just about anything. Just don't overwhelm the bird with a lot of new stuff, go slow and steady, put it in the cage and eventually he will get used to it. This is a very common issue for bird owners.

Congrats on your baby!

Yes, there are some things you could try. Firstly give him time to acclimate to his new home. After 3 days (and so soon after leaving mommy) he's probably still a bit unsure and afraid of his new, unknown home.

Since he is ok with being on you, use the opportunity to play with some toys while he's close by. My BFA is extremely interested in anything that I appear to be enjoying and must claim it immediately.
Also, put some toys near his cage where he can see them but where they "can't get to him". Handle these toys often to show him they are not scary and won't eat him but don't bring them closer to him unless he looks interested.
Lastly, keep a close eye on him to see which toys frighten him more than others (if any). Some birds are intimidated at first by noisy or very brightly coloured toys.

Good luck, I'm sure he will settle in soon and then he will start playing.
