Where I live there is rain/thunder storm and high winds rolling in this weekend. The past few nights we have experienced thunder and lightning. My sun conure is absolutely terrified about it. The first time it happened he was out of his cage and he flew all over the room and ran into the window. (He is okay) the second time it happend he was in his cage and panicked in his cage and fell to the bottom of his cage. I’ve tried moving his cage away from windows and tried changing his cage into different rooms but it still scares him. I thought about keeping the tv on at night or. Radio to sound out the thunder but it keeps him up at night. Not sure what to do. He has been grouchy since he has not been getting enough sleep. The storm should be cleared by Sunday night (10/24) but I feel terrible knowing he is not sleeping well and he is scared. Does anyone have any recommendations on helping my conure?
