My sunconure during the winter time he tend to put himself to bed by 6pm . He also loves to watch the rain! He has not seen snow yet in his life (he is only 1 years old). I’m excited to see his reaction to it this year!Sophie loves to watch the rain and snow. She gets very quiet and contemplative on overcast days lol. Does anyone else notice their bird acts differently depending on the weather?
I love that video of the eclectus watching the snow fall! So sweet!
No snow in Florida and rain and hurricanes don’t faze my macaw. I understand from my avian vet that it is not uncommon for pet birds to suffer PTSD from hurricanes (the wind sounds like a train). When we lived in Boston many years ago, I woke up to discover the heater had broken down during a blizzard. It was so cold in the house that I could see my breath. I stuffed my bird under my down coat and we climbed in bed together under the down comforter to thaw him out. A true bonding experience! He is not a fan of snow a
lol, too cute!!Our DYHA commonly does not care unless the Snow or Rain obstructs is viewing of his Kingdom! And, especially if he sights some animal entering it!

Phoenix watching it snow. It was hilarious, he would try to bite it as it fell....
Live in South Central Texas. Snow is virtually non existent. My grey likes to watch rain only when I am forcing pup w rain allergy out. Our only experience with snow was a blizzard with resulting days of city wide power out. My grey spent most of time snuggled in my hoodie, under my coat. She seemed to love the nearly unlimited snuggle time. I purchased a birdie diaper so long ago that I don't remember where. It wasn't until I put it on that I did remember why I didn't use it. My grey forgets how to use her legs. She just lays on her back! When I asked vet he said that he knew the problem. Nameliss is a Grey, period exclamation mark.I love that video of the eclectus watching the snow fall! So sweet!

Birdie diaper leads to temporary paralysis! Perhaps she thinks she is a helpless human baby in need of a diaper change? What a cutie!Live in South Central Texas. Snow is virtually non existent.
