I HAVEN'T IGNORED THIS! Just busy with real life issues.

I've listened to my mom. But she reassured me the deal with us is still on.
But this time she'll PAY for the puppy (Goes and finds an expensive breed J.K)

And guys, Nips is doing wonderful! Her feathers are growing back, and she gets along with Gabby and Dino (And those tow get alone) I'm selling the larger cage and I'm trying to get them into a larger cage, so they have more room for the toys and flight room. I let them out a lot now.
Nips hides behind the cage and pokes her head out, Dino hides with her. OMG it's so cute! >-<

I want you all to know, I have a 2nd bank account (Mainly for school use and stuff) but I'm putting money in there in case I have to take another one of my lovelys to the vet. (KNOCK ON WOOD!)

But yeah, Nips is 100% healthy though she can't fly :(
Waiting for next semester to start (puppy :D (I think my mom will pay for the vet bills too idk I haven't worked that out yet))

I'm also back to my old self. :)
I have a boyfriend o: and I'm writing stories again. Going ahead with my dream of becoming an author :)

To be honest, I was like you when I was age 7 or so. My parents were very laid back and let me get pretty much any pet I wanted. I had a ferret, a turtle, a lizard, a dog, a mouse, but I was way too young and immature to be able to take care of them all. They all had dirty cages and were unhappy. My parents had to take care of them by themselves and we ended up giving most of them away. My dog was a Doberman Pinscher and died recently at aged 9, almost 10.

Anyway, the moral of the story is this - yes, of course getting a new pet makes us all super happy, but is it the best for the pet? Will the animal end up unhappy and neglected after the initial "new pet" stage? See, back then I didn't think about this. I just thought about how fun it would be for ME to get a new pet. I feel terrible now for being so selfish and not taking care of the ones I had. That's why I have vowed to never again have any pets that I cannot take care of, nor allow any future children of mine to do the same as I have done.

Then, at age 16 I thought that I was ready to try it again. I got my Quaker Parrot Rocky. I love him more than anything in the whole world. Trust me, I've done my research. I even took parrot health/care classes at this place near me called Parrot University. As of right now, Rocky is my only pet, and I plan to keep it that way for now atleast until I am an adult and out of college with a stable life. I am always sure to put my bird first. I give him baths, a clean cage, a nutritional diet, he's out with me atleast 6 hours a day even on school days, and I will always have money on hand to take him to an avian vetenarian if needed. I just want him to have a happy life.

I'm not trying to persuade you to not get the puppy. You could be the most responsible person in the world for all I know. I just read the others' comments and I'm going off of there. Schnauzers are really funny dogs though. My grandparents have 2 of them and my grandma dresses them in lil' Christmas sweaters and stuff haha.

I know it will be fun to get that puppy, but is your mom right? Can you really take care of all those animals? I couldn't take care of that many now. Just remember to think about the puppy's happiness before your own, and that should lead you onto the right path.

Best of luck to ya

I know what you mean. After adding up all the cost (Even though I could get a 15 lb bag of food for free and other things (Thanks to Petsmart)) I realized I gotta take care of my birds. Plus I have my giant lapdog (Chole the Great Dane (AKA The bed hog ><))

I plan to write a story about my senior year in high school.
I wen through everything and I feel like it would help a lot of young boys and girls who are/were going through the same thing. Its just going to be hard because id's bring back haunting memories.

Hello. that's nice of your mom to buy the puppy for your at some point, but the cost of the puppy is the cheapest part. Be happy with what you have and give your current pets quality care, and one day when you are an established author with a good enough income to support more, you can see about adding to your family. It sounds like you are still a young-un, so you have lots of time. I remember wanting sooo many things when I was your age, but it took many years of working hard in school and working hard at my career to be able to afford to have my one dog and one bird. Saving up now for my one horse (which will take a decade or so 0.0 ). Be patient and content with the lovely babies you have now, and put any ideas of new pets aside till you have better means. It is worth it - I know!

So far everything I have planned is pushed back.
I won't be graduating from community college till Spring 2015 (Was suppose to graduate Fall 2014) and that pushes back me getting into George Mason University another year. Ugh
