13yr. old male umbrella cockatoo,
we call him Amigo!

7yr. old Goffin cockatoo, she IS Sassy!!
This is one unbelievable personality! I would have to call her Amigo's spunky, bratty, goofy baby sister! Amigo acts so much more distinguished and more poised. We are loving the heck out of her!

My oldest son came in today, (who Amigo has a vendetta with), and Sassy fell in love with him! My son is smitten, also. He had no idea a bird could be lovable! My daughter came by today and Amigo adores her, now, so does Sassy! I hope Amigo can handle this!

Awwe, its so nice to have a bird that everyone can enjoy. The U2 male i used to have would only let me handle him (he would bite everone else). Rome LOVES EVERYONE and everyone loves Rome. I swear we have a fan club starting up for her. I have people who come to the house on a regular basis just to see her :11: . She will talk and cuddle with complete strangers as if the were the ones that hand fed her. Its a really nice feeling when people get to enjoy her as much as i do. I love being able to share that, she touches so many people.

Im happy your enjoying her :).
They are very lovable , arent they ?
You'll find out that you won't get nothing done when you have
a bird that is so huggable :). They really are amazing :)

Suki loves everyone too. She puts her head down for stratchee to anyone who walks in my front door. And says sweet things to them too.

OMG!! Who knew?! Except all you goffin people!

Im not sure if its just a female thing or not with all toos, i was told by several people that it is that way with M2s (one of those people was my vet). Haha to the not getting anything done part! Ever since the coffee table incident Rome wont stay on my shoulder when im doing chores, she prefers to be on the middle of my chest with one hand on her back for support. So everything has been getting done one handed. Sometime i cant help myself and cater to Princess.

Now you understand why I am so ga ga over my boy Yoshi :)
He is such a lovebug ! How can anybody put him down and go clean
the house or do wash or work !!! It's just impossible if you ask me :p
Thank God he occupies himself and plays with his toys because I surely
wouldve created a velcro bird by hugging him so much :)
:white1::white1:

That's awesome! And now you know why I LOVE Goffins!! And why us Goffin owners are always gushing. Welcome to the club ;)

All you need is one of those papoos things some people carry their
human babies in.....the baby is in front. This way your hands free !
lololol. Ahhhh birdie love , ain't it grand :p
I even hold Their water cup up to them if they are on top of the cage ,
this way they dont need to climb back down into the cages. :)
Talk about spoiled :rolleyes::D

You're a good mama Molcan2! I'm curious if a U2 female could tolerate both myself and my husband or choose just my husband. I guess we wouldn't know unless we tried and I'm thinking...noooo, I better quit while I'm ahead!

O sheesh, I can't even look at other breeds of birds without feeling
guilty , lolol. I might have to forget about the other breeds I would like
to have and go get myself another Goffin ! But , then Yoshi would
be jealous !!? There is my dilemma :)
Some people get hooked on drugs , I got hooked on my Goffin , lol
Sleepy time. :rolleyes:
:white1::white1::white1::white1::white1: etc.........

I was thinking about one of those papoos things while i was typing. I dont know how she would take to that. Tommy would roll his eyes, esp after i suggested getting a high chair today and altering it for her so that she can eat with us at the table when we have guests. If we're at the table she will take her food and will perch on a chair (if shes in the house she wont perch on a stand, she likes to be how we are - if were sitting in chairs she sits in a chair, if were on the couch she sits next to us on the couch. Ive given up on getting her to perch).

When you decide on another bird, regardless of breed, you'd still be concerned about Yoshi being jealous, come on...admit it! Go with your gut. You'll make a wonderful parront! (never thought I would use that word in my wildest dreams!)

I'm laughing because that sounds hysterically awesome! I'd so do that (the highchair) if I thought either of mine would take to it. Both would rather be on us, hindering our ability to get our own food in our mouths, than to sit by themselves on a seat.

Here's one way:

That's the BIG difference between the big toos and small toos. The smaller toos are much people friendly then the big toos. Especially the females! I had Dixie going between my partner and I tonight on the couch, she's such a sweetie!!!

I'm serious ! lolol. I had heart palpitations when I was considering taking
Rosie home. , Knowing she was a plucker and a shredder and the fact that
I only had Yoshi for a couple of months , I was afraid he might pick up
her bad habits and most importantly lose our relationship because
I would be paying attention to her too.
I'm a worrier , lolol , plain and simple :/

I can't leave the house for too long without worrying about somebody , lol
But that is something I live with and I'm much better about it , kind of....

I can honestly say I am not as attached to Rosie . I really didn't want to
take her on but my friend begged me to take her , so we did.
But she is a great bird , not as friendly and definitely not huggable
like Yoshi ,but a sweetie in her own right :). She is quite funny with her
actions too. She vigorously shakes one of the acrylic toys and screeches
like crazy , and if Yoshi is out and wants to play with that toy too , he
hangs on to the other side of it and when she shakes it , Yoshi
looks like a milk shake being made , lolol. I need to video this and post
it for you guys :)
I'm considering getting one of those PAC O BIRD backpacks for my guys,
this way they can go with on my errands :) or maybe one those papooses......
