I'm surprised they're not doing Houston this year. Just San Antonio and Ft. Worth. Usually it's all three... Spring and then fall.

(Fingers plugging my ears) LA LA LA LA LA LA!!! We will be CLOSE to SA this weekend, I will not go to the bird fair, repeating this as an endless loop in my head, lol!

Seriously, thanks for sharing.

This is a new one fore me, never heard of a bird fair. Will google to see if they come to New England!

I HATE the idea of live parrot raffles, BUT in this case, it's a baby male eckie...

That oughta perk up your female a bit. LA LA LA LA... EVIL BAST... LA LA LA!!!

Mark, YOU ARE EVIL!!!! Husband wants to get a male, Venus would love to have someone new to boss around, I would love a new male baby (I haven't revealed to Husband, so anyone that tells Husband I will call you a liar). Dang it!!!!! I refuse to click on your link, LOL!!!!!

Last time I went to one of these things I almost came home with a baby Blue Throat. Fortunately, I talked a friend of mine into buying it, and now I have visitation rights... and only occasional "vacation" parronting duty.:D

It's a very dangerous place... for someone like me.

Hopefully my numbers hit Friday night, so I can go nuts with impunity on Saturday.

Smart plan, lol!!! He comes home and you get to see him and babysit (vacation parronting duty). It would be dangerous for me to go to that show, lol!!!

Should we start taking bets on whether you'll go....and whether you'll be going home with a bundle of green (and red and blue)??? :54:

Hmm, sounds like we may have a couple of new feathered forum members after the show!

I'm only going to re-stock the toy aisle... my supplies are getting low.

No new birdies for me, especially if I'm taking on a foster M2...

If I could guarantee Zoe would get along with another BT or RFM I'd seriously consider it, but I'd be scared that I'd end up with two macs with a jealous streak and twice the work.

I know what you mean.

My RFM had major jealousy issues with that little blue throat... when we were hand feeding him.

Pick that one up, I had to pick the other one up. Then I had to pick the other two macaws up. Which left me with one on each shoulder, and one on each forearm.

I COULDN'T GET ANYTHING DONE!

And the BTM was a velcro/escape artist/boomerang bird. Set him down, he'd find a way to get out, and he'd come right back to you...

I am MUCH happier with JUST two macaws...

I went today, and I did play with the baby eckie. He's very sweet.

But the only bird I really fell in love with was a baby greenwing.

They had a few cool things, but it was all pretty pricey. I was kinda disappointed.

I did get one really good score... One of the high end java trees - the expensive suckers -
HALF PRICE!!! Maggie's big stand on its last legs, so it was time for an upgrade. These friggin things retail for $330 these days... So half price brings it down to where it should be.

nice find birdman! I cant wait to live back on the mainland and be able to go to these bird shows.... I'm a little jealous.. right now I cant even get a bird cage shipped to me for Rio for less than 500$ shipping charge...... lol Then again I live in Hawaii..... lol.... Maybe ill just drown my sorrows in some wine and take my birds to the beach (I just need to find someone to drive... hahaha)
