Hey everyone,

I ended up getting dropped off at my house a very nice large parrot cage with play top. Good for like an African Grey, or Amazon or smaller Too sized birds.

Gal at the hardware store heard I liked birds, had birds and thought I could use this cage and wanted it out of her place so she just dropped it off for me.:D

I'm very excited about it but it does have some rust and I was going to scrub it down with a wire brush and repaint it...however I just want to make sure before I pick a paint, what is a SAFE paint to use?

Is something like "rustoleum" brand safe to use?

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be ever so grateful.

Thanks!

Toni

There is no actual bird safe paint, only ones tha are safer than some other paints. The only safe method is to powder coat it.
