Running the (Parrot) Gauntlet?

So I was thinking about how in the horse world, there's this unwritten set of trials I grew up with for becoming a "real horse person." To be, in my case, a real horse woman, you've been kicked, trampled/knocked over & stepped on, bitten, thrown, and pinned. Bonus points if you broke a bone. Now - this isn't to say that you go out and provoke a horse into doing these things; the theory, though, is that if you've dealt with horses long enough, more or less likely these things have happened. My friends and I used to call it the Gauntlet.

So, while I know that birds, just like horses, have their positives (or we wouldn't keep them), I was also wondering if there is a parrot equivalent of the Gauntlet. Mac gauntlet pieces would be especially appreciated.

I've never owned a parrot, but from the research I've gathered, I would guess that parts would be something like "listening to screaming all night," "being stalked in the bathroom," or "being bitten/bleeding."

Just wanting to learn both sides of the feather. Feel free to include things you wish you knew before getting a bird.

Having an earlobe torn a little when you forgot to remove an earring on the once a year occasion you bother wearing them - so the parrot helped.

Spending a half hour preparing the most stunning rainbow chop only to have the parrot spend a spit second tipping it all over the recently mopped floor.

Having a 'too decide to literally corner you at your inlaws so you can't leave.

Catching the sneezes - and having the parrot catch them too.

Being called over, in English, only to be lunged at.

(Could be worth reading the 'you know you're a parrot owner when...' thread!)

The parrot holy trinity gauntlet? Hormones, biting, and trickery.

Definitely getting bit hard and bleeding. Bonus points if they clamp on and don't let go and your eyes are watering from the pain until you manage to pry them off :D.

Triple if they actually take a lump of flesh!
