Great, all sounds good. I cook everything in his dinners to mix things up a bit, I can't really tell if he has a preference or not. He's a little piggy that's all I know :)

I have lots to add to his list, appreciate the help. I will probably add some of these to his dinners as well the next time I make up a big batch.

You serve the sweet potato raw? I could be wrong, but my understanding was that all forms of potato had to be cooked.

That's not true ;) raw yams are one of the favorites of everyone. One of the few veg Robin absolutely loves. His vet knows he eats it raw. I, on the other hand, need mine cooked well!

Weird. I've never seen anything in reference to yams specifically, granted, but I've read in two or three places that potato and sweet potato need to be cooked for birds. I usually like to see something corroborated in more places before accepting it as likely fact, but after seeing it more than once or twice I prefer to err on the side of caution, you know?

Although I've fed it regularly for a while now with good results, I just called both my avian vets anyway for this thread :)... The receptionists asked the vets if yams and sweet potato is okay to feed raw, and the receptionists of both vets replied almost the same thing... Both vets said something to the effect of "yeah, it's fine..why?" and "of course, it's good"... PLUS... My birds, even a recently x-rayed bird eats raw yams almost daily. He wasn't x-rayed for anything to do with yams, but just saying, no consequences from that. A time before I even mentioned to the avian vet (he's exclusively avian) how the birds get heavier the next day after eating RAW yams, and he said it's the water content as with other dense vegetsbles, and it's fine and normal.

Interesting about the raw sweet potatoes/yams thing - I had just read on another forum about how they need to be cooked when I was curious about it myself and it has to do with the enzymes. Now, how different sweet potato vs. yams are (not that many general grocery stores actually sell yams... they claim them as a yams but they're really just sweet potato apparently) I'm not sure. But I can't see how they could be that bad raw if your birds have been eating them constantly with no harm! My birds love them cooked and won't eat them raw, so I don't have a choice

And Katie, you have an excellent selection of food going on. It's fun to switch in a few things here and there, but the staple of what you have certainly seems awesome! I always aim for 10-15 different ingredients per chop mix with my birds, just for fun.
