Robin has been with me for 22 years!

Robin is going to have a belated birthday celebration this week, but his hatch day was July 31st. He turned 22 ! This coming October, I will have had him 22 years. Wow, it blows my mind to think about it! My most special boy, and the most beloved animal I have ever had.

Bad mom, it's been so chaotic lately that I completely forgot. I was in the shower tonight and it suddenly dawned on me ! Hey, forgetting once or twice in 2 decades can be forgiven right?

I've had my Beau for maybe half as long, but I feel like I can relate. It is really incredible how much they become a part of us, and show us a love that cannot be matched by anyone or anything else in this world. Especially when they are there with you through so many difficult and uplifting times in our lives, cheering us and sharing our emotions.

Here's to a great birthday week! And many more happy times and years!
