Seemed to go well, used a fine spray bottle with a Luke warm tap water.
Do I need to get some kind of plume spray, if yes, any recommendation?
Think she liked it, opened her wings a bit and flapped, after about 10 sprays
Did growl a little lol.
Might just try a small tray with some water next time, see if she likes to splash?

That's good and no they don't need any plumage stuff, the water helps and so does feeding them right and not letting them pluck out of sadness. If you would like, I bet he would love to be under a nice warm shower, my Lilo loves that and I herd amazons love water so maybe try that?

Thanks Kg, I've read they love a shower, maybe after she settles in a bit more I will give it a try : )

That's GREAT that Rio's first bath was such a huge success!! :D Nope, no additives needed, most Amazons LOVE their baths. I'll be giving both of mine one today, too. :)

I typically just use two methods:

1. Outside on a tree and hose them (I set it to mist and aim upwards). I'll even let them play in the rain if it's hot (their favorite). :)

2. In the shower. I turn the shower on and they just go in and get it over with. They don't seem to enjoy this much. :(

I'm in Central America (in a city where it can get very hot). The only times I do shower them indoors is when it's too hot out or the sun is too strong.
