Photos and their age will be very helpful.

It is important to understand that Red-Lored Amazons commonly have both blue and yellow as part of their face /head colors. Color location tends to be specific with some minor variation. But it would be very rare for one color to replace another color in its common location.

As noted above, here is your other Post with its picture.

Hi my name is Len and I just purchased a couple of Red Lored Amazons. I previously owned a Double yellow but couldn't bring him with me. I was wondering if in fact both are Red Loreds as they have different colors on the crown of their heads. Can any verify this please.Attached is a photo of both.red lored-76717544_10157242550345971_5567207669309112320_n.jpg

One is a Red-Lorded Amazon (nominate), the other is a Hybrid.

FYI: If you are in North America, please assure that you have CITES Documentation for your Amazons. At the very least, you need to have documentation that defines their Age and Sex. Plus, you need to have the name and address of who you purchased the Amazons from. It is helpful to have Proof of Sale.

Both of these birds do look a little different from my Red Lord Amazon Pacho.
The yellow underneath the eye is pure yellow, my Pacho had a bit of red in the yellow and always reminded me of a sunset. In fact when I bought her I was told she was a peach face amazon most likely because of the color yellow mixed with red rendered a peach like color.

My best guess is that the bird on left MAY be a hybrid.
You have 2 beautiful Amazons

The top of the bird on the left looks to be yellow where the bird on the right has blue on top. My Pacho had blue on top of her head like the bird on the right

Here is a pic of my Pacho

Oh...

I’m going to have to file a CITES complaint if my seller doesn’t come through with the certificate for YNA Archie.

Went there this week...the owner happened to be there and wasn’t ever before...and he’s lecturing that one doesn’t need one. And as you know, YNA is endangered. I went postal, after he said...

“You might need one if you go from Florida to Georgia, but not Florida to Canada.”

HUH!!!!!!!!???????????

He then told me if I wanted one, it would cost $50 to $100, and I said, just do it. I’ll pay it.

I then had a change of heart a few hours later because I paid an OBSCENE amount of money for Archie, and the law’s the law. So I emailed the story explaining my side of the situation, that they were legally obligated to do this with CITES in the first place.

I’m going to give them a week or so to respond, but I’m getting my CITES one way or the other...if he’s legal in the first place!

How do I know?

We’ll see what happens, but Archie is getting very stressed about his immigration status, and it shows.

MODS: Please, please, PLEASE don’t read anything political into this!
