Red Lored Amazon

Hey all, I may have a chance to get a red lored amazon, so I was just wondering if anyone else has one, and what you think of them? And not to fear I have been doing my homework on them, so I am not going into this without a little bit of knowledge

Good luck with your new friend. I have always wanted an Amazon and if I could I would get a yellow shoulder Amazon. Please let us know more about your Red Lored I am curious to know more about them.

I have never owned a Red Lored, but I heard that they are great birds and not one of the hot three so their temperment is a bit milder than some others which can have a rough time during breeding season.

Tell us about the bird your looking to get and what kind of bird experience do you have?

Merlin is a red crowned amazon or mexican red headed amazon. I believe they are similar. Hes on the smaller size for a amazon, very intelligent & loving. He always wants a say in what goes on with him, I respect that. Hes noisy @ times, but mostly quiet, a good talker. His feelings can be hurt & he remembers when you slight him. Hes a great bird, but he is a amazon. I set firm boundaries & we get on ok. Hope this was some help.
