I really dont know what to do.... I have a conure hes around 6 months old. hes out everyday with either me or my mum. i do the clicker training with him which he is good at! he can step up and do tricks when were in training mode!
But when someone walks into the room he will instantly fly to them and stand on there shoulder...thats not the problem the problem is when i want to get him off them...if i even attempt to go near him he viciously attacks! doesnt matter who he is sat on he will always do it...the step up training goes right out the window! also getting him back into the cage is difficult! he just flys away when ever i get near to the cage with him takes me ages! Which isnt ideal when you need to get him away quick to open the front door!
So im considering clipping his wings but i dont want him to be despressed or upset with me...because he has been able to fly all his life.... But this behaviour needs to stop iv tried everything! Even if i only clip them the once and let them grow back in do you think that time where he cant fly will help with training.? please help me...
