Okay so I'm still new to having my cinnamon GCC, I've had Maui for about a month now and I'm trying to figure out a diet.
I first bought a seed mix at the pet store brand name: Fiesta and found out that it wasn't good choice. Then, I bought roudy bush pellets and tried to switch to that but the pellets just get picked around and Maui does not like them at all. Then, I bought nutriberries thinking that I could just feed that and found out it's better as a treat. I also feed a mix of beans, pasta, fruits and veggies that my local bird rescue sells and I add flax seed, chia seed, sesame seed or dry steel cut oats.
I've also been experimenting with homemade foraging toys and teaching Maui to forage while we are at work. Recently, I just bought some natural bird food online from : Healthy and Nutritious Parrot Feed | Phoenix Foraging Rolls LLC that seems pretty promising.
I purchased unshelled hemp seeds to see if Maui likes them along with green chunks and un pellet for small birds so we will see how it turns out! Anyone have any input or advice? I think that feeding Maui a balanced diet is going to take some tweeking but I just want to do what's best.
