Do you free feed or do you have a schedule?
My GCC is a seed junkie. But she also eats pellets and a few times a week I give them fresh stuff but not on a daily basis.
I know that I should do away with the seed altogether but the pellets are basically the same thing(grains) with vitamins added.I use Zupreem natural.
My problem is some mornings are very rough healthwise and its easier just to let them have the seed/pellet mix that I put in the night before.
BTW the tiels love love love fresh stuff. They eat more veggies then the greencheek.Peas, corn, carrots, broccoli, kale, basically anything I put in and the tiels love it.
The greenie will not eat fresh corn, peppers, sweetpotato, squash, kiwi,.broccoli, or kale very very picky bird.
She will eat peas, greenbeans, blueberries, carrots and of coarse apples, oranges and grapes.I rarely buy grapes so she doesnt get those often.
Ive tried sprouts too and she wont touch them. She doesnt like cooked wettish foods like rice or any of those premade bird mixes either. She does like the dry muffin or bread type products though.
Anyway I know this is long but any help with a schedule that would get them eating better would be nice.
