Question about a sparrow

Chirpy was found as a nestling..in a parking lot. She was brought to me to be rehabbed and released. But her lower beak was tore off ..unable to be reattached. The vet said shell live a happy healthy life as long as i want to always provide food for her. So my fiance and i taught her how to eat on her own. Progress in short time. My question is ...can i get her a cage mate..maybe a finch? She just seems lonely ..the vet says shes not sure,but sounds like a good idea....any thoughts?

Is Chirpy definitely not able to be released? Is she able to source and feed herself now? What about a semi wild existence, where you still put food out? Quite often the wild birds that are taken care of and released don't forget that act of kindness.

If the vet has any other wild birds brought in you could offer to take over their care and thus provide a friend that way?

hmm bit of a tricky one, now she's naturally going to be tamed at some point with the amount of interaction.

Really I guess it depends if you want her to be bonded to yourself or just for her to be a bird you help out. I know which of the 2 I'd prefer

Of course it also depends on what the current parrots think of her too, if she's accepted by everyone I'd prefer to tame her so she can have some semblance of a flock in her life as opposed to a single bird and a food provider. But I don't know enough about sparrows really
