Pepe, our 6 month old male, is a real mush, and great bird to my wife and I. Out older sons are not around much, but when they are Pepe is very skittish, and "flys" away. He shows no aggression at all, but just seems a bit afraid. Oddly he is not at all afraid of my 2 dogs, one of which barked at him for a week when we brought him home. I read all the stories about how friendly caiques are to "everyone:, and I am wondering if he is just afraid becuase of his age?

Yes, it's possible your Caique is just going through a skittish period, nothing more. You can have your son try and win Pepe over by offering him some of his favorite treats.
I'm sure he'll come around in no time.
