Query behavior

I have a male and female budgie. Recently the female has been going crazy with the mirrors taking them off sending to cage floor. When I put them back she does the same. Thus is new behaviour and wondered if anyone knows why she does this.

She doesn't like that other bird in the mirror. I'd remove the mirrors.

She probably sees it as a rival hen!?

Your welcome. Female budgies can be pretty intolerant of other females in their cage, especially when they're in breeding condition. Do your female and male get along well? I hope they don't start breeding!

On the whole they do get on well, however there are times when the male gets quite boisterous but she soon puts him in his place. I haven't seen them trying to breed nor has she tried nesting.
