Queens parrots

I work in woodhaven, queens ny at a high school. Somewhere in the atea a pet store burned down and about 20 to 30 parrots were released. They live in the front of the school.
It sounds like the amazon all day. Idonno what kind of birds they are one type is about 12 or 14 inchs long all green body, a sandy colored beak with a red stripe across the top and then an orange stripe. Iv tryed to get pics but they always stay high and out of reach of my camara.

I'll take a wild stab at it and guess that maybe its a red Lord Amazon, pretty common in the pet trade and fits your description, heres a pic, let me know

Im not sure but they have a orange stripe above the red stripe

Has anyone made an effort to try and capture these birds? When did the fire occur?

I'm not sure how long ago the fire happened but a lot of the guys I work with have been there 10 to 15 years and they said they were there before they started. There are actully 3 other spots in brooklyn where there are huge colonys of quakers and huge nests. I haven't seen any nests although there is a huge cemetery next to the school and I see a lot of them there. I really wanna get some pictures but I work 3-12am. And its hard for me to spend time looking for them. Oh yeah we saw a hawk land in the top of a tree from the 4th floor yesterday.
