That's way too big. They're about the size of a conure and size for them is 3/4-5/8".

I agree with Doublete, 5/8" or 3/4" bar spacing is ideal. 2" is just way too much of a gap. A bird could try to squeeze through and either escape or get stuck and hurt or even kill itself. Even with 1" spacing, a bird could squeeze it's head through and then not be able to pull it back out. And 1/2" or smaller spacing is safe, but that small gap provides more bars for long tails to rub against causing frayed tail feathers. Also, some appropriately sized perches and accessories won't fit because the bars are too close.

Quakers are about the size of a sun conure. My IRN is 120g and has 1/2" bar spacing, and honestly anything larger than 3/4" is far too much, and IRN's and Quakers are pretty similar in size.

My IRN has 1/2" bar spacing and his tail is in perfect condition considering how excessively long it is (I don't think Quakers get as long as a tail, though somewhere close), but it's also 3' long, 3' high, and 2' deep, so it's by no means a small cage for his size. I considered 1" bar spacing, but when he walks across my rabbit's cage that has 1", he falls through easily and so I never let him on it for safety reasons.

Pan (my Quaker) is in a cage with 3/4 spacing, anything more and I don't think he would be able to move around very easily. I would not go any larger, and 2'' is crazy. After looking at so many cages of late, I don't even think there are many Macaw cages with that large of spacing.

I had an IRN years ago in a cage with 1/2" spacing and her tail always looked good. I have two small conures in that same cage. One of them is always hanging on the side. Her tail is constantly rubbing on the bars and her tail looks raggedy because of it. The other conure doesn't hardly spend any time hanging on the sides and his tail is fine. So it depends on how the bird uses the cage, but smaller spacing increases the odds of a frayed tail.

Brook, you may want to keep in mind that in spite of their small size, quakers have surprisingly strong beaks and they are wizards at escaping their enclosures.

My Clover has 1" spacing and Mr. P has 1/2" spacing. I think 1" spacing is best, and I will soon upgrade P's cage, although it's just as big as Clover's. I just think it gives them more "view of the land" and makes them feel less jailed. When I got Wilie (the amazon) I bought a nice large cage with 1-1/4" spacing and put Clover in it for a test run. She was not able to get her head through the bars. I would not go any bigger though!
