Pythons are FINALLY hatching!

I'm pretty much a chicken when it comes to snakes. I did find it really interesting to learn that they have an umbilicus and a yolk sac, I didn't know that.

loved the picture of the snapping turtle. I think he is cute looks like he is smiling for the camera. are you putting him back in the pond or keeping him? We have water adjoining our back yard and have cooters , and softshells as well as fluffy the alligator and tons of wading birds. I am one of those people that stop the car if I see a turtle in the road and put it on the grass in whichever way it was heading. There are a lot of gopher tortises down here, as well as the cooters, softshells, and box tutles that seem to like to cross the road and I don't want them getiing hit. Hubby is used to me after 47 years. I will admit many years ago I firured out to hold them slightly tipped backward and away from me so they don't pee on my shoes. neat defense mechanism they have.:D Alison and sweetie pie:D

We put her back in the pond. Unfortunately a lot of people catch them around here catch them and use them for turtle soup :( We actually had to have a talk with our neighbor because he was trying to take the turtles out of our pond!!

3 of the babies have come out now! They are so cute! Can't wait for them all to come out :)

grrrr its your pond, i dont see how turtles pose a problem to your neighbors, im glad you kept them :). the babies are ADORABLE! i think im going to get one when i get older (dont worry i'll do my research ;) ). good luck!
