1 15 year old Golden Capped Conure Named Wrnts
psittacosis, a very harmful disease that a parrot can get, unfortunately got a vet sick, too. The disease is transmitted apparently through the mouth of the parrot, because he gave the bird mouth-to-mouth after his respiration had stopped, and had no one else to help him out. The vet is embarrassed to say that information, but it happened. Now THAT'S a dedicated vet in my eyes. You're willing to give my bird mouth to mouth if my bird dies? Dang.
I think i'll be seeing this vet from now on.

Wow! Did the bird live? Do you know how the vet is doing? That is some serious dedication! A vet that cares more about saving the bird than getting infected. Sign me up!
 
Sigh....been there, done that,(twice) and wouldn't wish it on anyone :31:

Unfortunately the bird died, went into respiratory distress. But he tried like heck to keep that bird alive.
