In the past several months there have been several postings about reviews...product reviews posted on various websites. Members here, both new and those who have been members for a while, have posted queries about this product or that and several have made comments about and/or questioned the quality of a product that has little or no comments/reviews posted about it.
It might come as a surprise to a few who trade on this type of information to make their decisions about purchasing things for their birds rather than experienced advice from members around here.....the short of it is that a large percentage of the so called "reviews" posted are fictitious...flat out lies.....
ABC's Diane Sawyer, on her nightly new program tonight, ran an investigative piece on fake reviews and one of their interviewees was a 17yo girl who, while still going to school, makes a nice income for writing these fake reviews for manufacturers, stores, restaurants, motels/hotels or anybody willing to pay her going rate.....Diane asked her if she used any of the products or had been to any of the places she had reviewed/written about and she answered.....NO.....
New York's attorney general has his own investigation currently underway on the topic, so, if you use this form of research to determine what is best for your birds/animals/things for your family, you might want to use some other mean to decide if you are making a good investment or wasting your $$$.....
For those who might want an alternative solution.....you might try listening to those who offer credible advice or suggest that you do more reading, of your own, on the various topics.....
