problem with feather color

Hi,
My IRN who is now 6 years old is going through molting. Molting started in june. The feathers are not the same color as before. Color on the wing feathers has gone from blue to white. It started last year when she started molting for the second time that year and only went through half of the molting faze. This year the color did not return healthy blue like before.
She is eating healthy: veggies and fruits, seeds and vitamines when molting.
She is free to fly and has access to sun every day.
She is a happy and healthy bird, other than the feathers.
We don't have avian vet in our country so your help would be appriciated.

Molting is very difficult as it places great demands of the energy reserves of the Parrot. The healthier the Parrot the more stable the molt is in both number of feathers and quality of new feathers. Molting is also greatly effected by variation in temperature and which molt (Spring or Fall Molt) your Parrot is experiencing. If you are in the Northern half of this World you have likely experienced a very hot Summer and most Parrots have molted more feathers than in a normal Summer.

Color change with an IRN at six years of age would be less common than with some of the Amazons that I have greater experience. Other than normal variation in very young Parrots as they transition from Baby to Adult coloration. The color of an Adult commonly stays fairly consistent over their life. It is possible for them to push an odd color feather from time to time, but less common to have an area change color.

You could be faced with an underlining illness or that the diet is not property balanced. I will refer to the IRN experts regarding what diet you should be providing and whether your IRN is experiencing a common color change or if you are dealing with an underlining illness.
