- Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
I had one of my CAG's on antibiotics a couple of years ago and an horrified I did not get any probiotics prescribed (will kick his CAV the next time we visit / gently of course)
I got here thanks to a link in a more recent post, ik think it was ElleD who mentioned the Benebac and also another brand/name.
We do not have PetCo here (they appearently sell that stuff), but I am *so* going to find out where I can get some.
=
the person who was using kefier (spelled it keifier or so)- use the one that is waterbased (its mostly water with a piece or fruit in it) since milk is not parrotfriendly (though I agree that fermented products like yoghurt etc. are okay for a lot of people with intolerance to cowmilk / not sure if that also works that way with parrots ).
I have been looking into kefir and even the other populair fungus.
Apple-vinegar is something used to prevent issues, not to solve them, I think.
