Anyone feed their Grey Pretty Bird? I like the idea of feeding Roudbush, but I worry about calcium levels and think Pretty Bird might be up my alley. I know it's not the greatest food out there...

Sorry never tried actually tried it. I did consider it at one time. My hesitation came from nothing avian related. It was the artificial colors. Several members of my immediate family are allergic to them. I saw no reason birds couldn't have similar reactions.

What does your grey eat now? You know how birds can be, he may not want to change. Maybe sticking with a familiar food would be best with the stress of moving to a new home.

Nameliss eats a sl modified coarser version of your budgie chop 😘. Her hormone related behavior determines the amount of high carbs (sweet potato, squash, corn, brown rice etc). I add 1/4 tbsp or less rolled oats to absorb moisture before feeding if needed. I top it with cooked egg white x2/wk or whole egg x2/wk about 1/4 egg each. I dry habanero, jalapeños etc. Then crush one to top her chop. This is not consistent. My daughter and I are in competition w these. Nameliss is very active. She gets Harrison High potency coarse and Lifetime Pepper coarse. Nameliss treats her pellets like finger food, watching TV, a nibble before bed or after a snooze. Unless molting she eats about 1 tbsp ea/day avg. I use a waste not type food box. This is only for pellets. Since using this food box it takes about 3-4 months for 5# of pellets. She's on the light side with her wtg; 13.8-14.5 ounces. I ration her 'I want' treats. I will relent adding more if her wtg creeps to 14 ounces. Her policy is if her human pet is eating it, give it a try. So I have the eat in a closet foods. You know those; hot buttered popcorn, potato chips, greasy fries, lasagna, and items requiring garlic, onions, tomatoes, avocado etc. I'm the first to admit and complain about Harrison cost. With the two flavors it's just over 40$ for 3+ months. My monthly soda intake is more! I only purchase Harrison from them. I had problems with expiration date from 3rd party suppliers. I haven't had nutritional related problems in my greys with Harrison's in 40+ yrs. Grey #1 ate more daily but his wtg was 16.3 avg ounces.
