preening...

...I was watching a movie,the kids were out,and BB was sitting on my hand about 5 inches away from my face...and he started to
preen himself...he got all poofy and went to town..his rudder,his arms..rubbing his poofy face all over...he did this for almost fifteen minutes while I just sat there and watched...wish i got it on video He looked so relaxed.

My females do that within 3 seconds of me trying to talk to them when sitting on my hand while looking at me as if enough time to think to themselves, "Hooman you crazy" before they begin.

A thorough preen followed by a satisfied beak grind before bed time tells me my birdie is happy with my efforts for the day
