Potential GCC owner looking for advice

I cringe when I read about someone in their teens to mid twenties wanting a parrot that will live for at least 30 years, convinced they can handle it despite plans to go to off to college and live in a dorm or apartment, which is incompatable with parrot ownership. It seems like they don't understand how dramatically their interests, their life and their priorities will change as they enter adult life, having been children themselves only a few short years ago!
yeah its super fun being trapped as the caretaker of such a circumstance. My husband definitely watched ticktok and fell in love. Now I'm tormented for a few decades. I have never felt so unloved and unimportant as I clean up after her, make sure that all house guests are warned about her biting and leaving the cage to walk around our house to terrify our younger kids.

She's happy though. I do my best to treat her with love and respect as she is a living being and it ain't her fault for being a spontaneous cute toy for my inconsiderate spouse.
