I have been hit twice by this now. Earlier on my iPhone, now on my iPad! And when it hits, only option that seems to work is to close the window!

I HATE those pop-ups! I haven’t gotten them on this site but have on other sites. Hopefully, the moderators can do something about it!

UPDATE: I just got those pop-ups twice on this site, once while I was trying to view this thread.

It is either following my id, or is into our site! My use is almost completely crippled on this site!

I have not been hit! I using both Firefox and Safari and neither seem to be effected. I will work around the site and see if I get tagged.

Hmmm, Then I will try coming in without logging in and see what happens!

FYI: Thanks for reporting this!!!

Sorry, but I cannot duplicate what each of you are seeing! Clearly, there is a difference in how we are accessing or the bloody pains in the butt have moved on!

FYI: Not sure whether it makes a difference or not! But, I am crazy /nuts about clearing all Search History before I close-out of my Search Engine! Every time!!!

I am told that having lots of history attracts Bots (etc.) and activity keeping it empty helps. Not sure if that is true or or not, but its what I do.

As the other Moderators come on, they will likely try also.

Again, thanks for reporting this!

I have seen this on iPhone and iPad on a Safari page, but never on a PC. Yep, the only way to remove is by closing the window.

I sent a copy of David's screen shot to an Administrator, will report back.

While we wait for a response, have you all tried clearing your cookies? Might help.

I haven't seen it yet here, I'm using Chrome on a desktop. I have seen it other places, hope Stephen's idea about deleting cookies works until a permanent fix is found.

Same here, I was on last night. I was only able to post once before I kept getting the same message on my phone. I eventually gave up b/c it was too much of an interference.

Just cleared out safari, we will see! On iPhone, I use google as a browser. Had thought I was free of it this morning, but as soon as I opened this thread, it came back!
I even tried to satisfy it with information, but it directed me to a fake amazon site to claim my prize

—Just got hit again! On iPad/safari!
Am back using the google browser on the same iPad.

Getting hit again in safari(iPad), just switched to the google browser. When I went to page one of this post, the pop up hit me! I wonder if it is doing imaginary recognition!
From what I am reading, most likely, this malware is imbedded in an ad server! Since these robots use page content, certain pages may be prone to the pop up!

I used to use firefox till quantum now I use opera, I also use adblock plus, (free add on for both) and I've never seen that popup. Also adblock plus blocks youtube ads and etc.

https://adblockplus.org

I've been using it for years, I highly recommend.

Apple’s recommendation is to disable Java scripting, clear safari, and then stay away from the compromised site!

Very frustrating! Only way I can use safari on this site is to keep JavaScript off!
My research points to compromised ads being the source of this pop up!

We haven't forgotten about you all. Still looking into it.

Wow, this issue is making the forum unusable on iPhone. I"m not sure its anything you all can do. As I understand it, it's a pervasive issue on on many apple devices on many websites. I get it occasionally on Facebook when I click on articles to read.
