Me too!!!! I held off getting the blood because of Thanksgiving, I would have sent it in the day before.. so I am taking the blood tomorrow afternoon and sending it out Monday. They said the turn around time is a few days. So maybe a week from Monday?? I'm so excited to find out!!!! I so badly want her to be a girl, she just seems like a girl. When I git my GCCs I didn't mind what they were, but I had the breeder test for Neptune cuz I wanted a boy for Ta-dah. I am so excited!!! I promise qtge moment I know I'll post it
Just mailed the test I had a 49 cent stamp, and now stamps are are fifty cents,.....lol so I had to give them a Penny to mail it!!!!!! Come on Penny be a girl please!
I used Animal genetics for my DNA test, it's still pending ( they only got it yesterday) and they offer testing for several if the avain viruses, has anyone tried that?
I'm pins and needles about DNA ...
Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Not sure if you send in feathers or blood - and if it was a bloodsample: the blood was in a suspension/ anticoagilant or dried on a chart.
Unless it a propper sample (the middle option) I would not even bother since the results will be unreliable.
