Of course its a Male only Males have a blue tail with white tips so yes it is a Male you didn't need to get DNA test.

Did you do the DNA yourself or was it done before you got them? He doesn't have a black ring around his neck its yellow like the female.

yes I'm with you.. Iv keep one of there babie to see what happens with it, I have google it but cant find anything.. My female is back in nest box now, so if like last time ill have egg in 3-4 weeks..

I didn't think you would find anything on google lol there is not much about the actual Plum head its self never mind different mutations or hybrids lol.

Oh no! I'm sorry for your loss. Before adding another bird, I would try to figure out why the female died.

look like she just die in her sleep.. She not been attacked or show any sign... So I think ill just keep a look out for a 2-3 year old hen.. Very hard to find these bird near London...

I would definitely have a necropsy done to rule out any infectious diseases though~ birds are experts at hiding illnesses, so she may have been sick and was hiding it [emoji53]
