She flew away on 11/9/24 around 11am in Danbury, CT. Ball pond Rd and clapboard ridge Rd, kingstreet area.
If you are around the neighborhood please look out for her in your yard, windows, cars and maybe roof …she’s got a band as well.

Welcome to the forums, @Bebensofie, though I am very sorry to hear that your Bebe has escaped. I always recommend listing them with www.parrotalert.com, as a number of our members have been reunited with lost birds via their service. You can also check it for "Found" birds too, as often folks who have found stray parrots will list them there too. The link below is another of their resources that may help ...

You should also alert all vet clinics in your area, not just avian specialists, as pet parrots who escape are often handed in there by finders who are unable to keep or care for them. Posting on lost bird Facebook pages can also be helpful, as is letting your neighbourhood know by means of leaflets in their letterboxes - that's how I got an Indian ringneck back a number of years ago.

I hope something here is of help to you, and that you can get Bebe back very soon!! 🙏🙏🙏

I'm so sorry to hear about Bebe. I hope she returns safely soon. If you're in the Danbury, CT area near Ball Pond Rd, Clapboard Ridge Rd, or King Street, please keep an eye out for a 6-year-old cockatiel with a yellow head, orange cheeks, and a gray body. She may be perched on a roof, tree, or even near a car. Let's all spread the word and help bring Bebe home!

My heart breaks every time I learn someone's beloved bird has flown away. I hope and pray you find him or that someone else found him and that he's safe and sound. Best wishes.

I agree. Every time I visit my vet I look at the bulletin board covered with dozens of flyers about missing birds. The vet keeps one up that says “Found!” to give encouragement.

My macaw flew away when I first got him many years ago. I had only had him 3 months and his wings were clipped at the time. He was found 3 days later and 6 miles away (as the crow flies 😜) at a US Air Force satellite tracking station. How appropriate! We needed a top secret security clearance to retrieve him—and my father just so happened to have one! After going through the security checkpoint, I was reunited with my bird in a trailer on the site. He was sitting on a partition eating the commanding officer’s sandwich. 😂

It happens. Be careful!
