Hello! Does anyone see the benefit in playing audio of bird noises to your baby bird? I was on you tube checking out some cockatiel vids and my baby seemed to be quite relaxed by it....opinions?:whiteblue:

When I do that, it makes mine excited and they stood still raising their crowns listening....A few of them gets upset listening to some of them.....

Yeah, it's funny because I just played a different audio and she stood up and seemed to get excited

They also can tell when it's a distress call, that really set them over the edge. Do watch what you play for them.

Awwwww.....it's cute when they fall asleep.....Have you seen pictures of them when they first hatch???

Yeah it's so cute looks like it's trying to stay awake but the eyes keep shutting! Oh wow that is so cute and tiny I haven't seen that before! Is it yours?

I've been raising them for over 16 years....They were two of my previous chicks.... :)

Oh wow that's a long time! So you would have all sorts of colours! I really like the albino ones but they are quite hard to get in Australia. This is my first baby bird and cockatiel. I love when I feed it and after every mouthful she goes "tweet tweet" haha.

Here's Nico, one of the Albino (Lutino Whiteface) female I've raised. She's a year and a half now. :)

Are cockatiels like lovebirds in that if they have another mate they won't bond with a human as well?

Depends on the individual bird!!! But most of the time yes they become quite mean especially during breeding time. But when they're out of it some of them goes back being friendly again.

I never had my birds as actual babies. When my conure got out though I used a recording to get him to call back and show us where he was.
