Its been taking a little longer than I thought to finish made a second trip to the dollar store and now im finished with the second level and still have one to go. Charlie didnt like it at first but now hes on it all the time . I moved some things around mDe a few new toys and added some perches. Ya, using storage shelves opens up so many ideas! They come in any flavor, size, Stainless, plastic, adjustable! Many of the units can be configured so many ways! In my case, a 2x2 stainless unit fits so well! These laundry units even come with hooks and basket type shelves, under 50 bucks! Upper shelves for play area, lower for storage. Simple plastic mats cut to size, layered, will make cleanup a snap! AND, compared to a regular bird stand, cost wise? A win/win! And if it doesn't work out? One extra storage shelf!

Great idea, I love it!! I bought a dolly yesterday, and now I think I need to go scavenge in my basement and re-purpose one of my plastic shelves. Maybe I can somehow screw it on top of the dolly so it can easily be moved from room to room.

I have my art supplies on that exact shelf. I love the idea of the perches coming out of the legs!

That is awesome. I felt creative when I made a perch from 2 branches and a Christmas tree stand.....wow.....this thing blows it out of the water! lol
