Pigeon is lost in France, ends up in Canada

Incredible, to a point of being near impossible.
I am going with finding a transit cargo ship and hanging out near the kitchen area, which likely provided food and warmth.
In the landing gear port of an International bound aircraft it would have likely frozen long before landing.
Clearly there is a back story that would be intriguing to say the very least!
Tied to a truly amazing ending!

I dunno guys, this sounds like BS to me, but in the spirit of Christmas I will say I believe. Bird shoulda picked a city where French was the major language though; now it needs to learn a whole new one.

I agree that it had to have caught a ride on some kind of boat. Or someone found it and for some reason smuggled a pigeon back with them. I can't believe it survived the temps here until it was found.
I'm going to go with belief as well...tis the evening for that:)

I don’t know…do pigeons ever migrate across the ocean? Maybe he hitched a ride with some geese.

Too bad he can’t go back to France.

Migration Ways follow the South to North /North to South Paths along the Ocean's Coastal Regions in addition to the Major Rivers, inland, along the same directions following centuries old paths.

This is common World Wide with Land Based Birds. Sea Birds are the only known birds that fly across the long open Ocean Paths with Land Based Birds crossing those areas of Oceans between Islands.

Pigeons (A Land Based Bird) are not known to make long Open Ocean Crossings.
