Took some pictures the other day , thought I would share them.
Baby isn't the easiest to get pictures of....you either get one with him doing his "pretty wings" or doing his "peek a boo" . lolol

Stella on the other hand LOVES her picture being taken :)
Her favorite activity now is to roll around on my bed....once she gets down off my arm , she dives for the pillow , holds one foot in the air for me to hold onto and then she rolls over..and she will keep going if I let her :)
She is such a silly girl sometimes. Another game of hers is to pick up the plastic rings and walk over to the edge of the bed and toss them off.
Then she looks at the sideways and then runs to the other end of the bed all the while making a honking noise , lololol. :p

I really need to remember my camera when I take her on the bed....its hysterical to watch her having fun , lol. She's such a funny happy bird :)
Baby will watch her and all he says is "what are ya doing" , lolol.
Is anybody else's bird this hopped up on goof balls or is it just mine :roll eyes:

Plax , does Zaffer like to roll around on the floor ? Stella likes to do this a lot and it actually had me a tiny bit worried , lolol. She is totally fine , but I as her momma , was getting a bit carried away thinking maybe there is something wrong...

She goes to the bottom of her cage if I have other birds out and will sit there looking pathetic until I go and get her. Once I have her out , she buries her head under my arm and needs snuggle time for at least 10-15 minutes or longer if I let her , then she is ready to "go play" on her stand. She was just at the vet for a grooming and he gave her a once over and she is fine ....Idk , maybe I just can't believe how snuggly and silly she can be ;)
It would help if I had input from other HY owners so I can put my worries aside...

Such beautiful birds, lovmytooo! The more I see and hear of Macaws, the more I like them. What do you think? Are they a better choice than a cockatoo? I know you love your Yoshi very much so maybe my question should be...a better choice than a large cockatoo? I love Mi Amigo very much, also, but wonder if, (if I had had a choice at the time), if a macaw would have been a better choice?

I really couldn't make that decision...idk. I haven't had much interaction with U2s or the bigger TOOs to be able to compare.
These two guys are so playful , funny and sweet. Im sure there will be times that those adjectives will not apply , lol.
I am prepared for that time , at least I think I am , lol.
Im still waiting for the honeymoon to be over....but its like a party everyday with them :) I do notice that one or both will have a day where they don't want to be petted as much or fooled with...they would rather hang in their tree stands and chew their toys which is fine by me , I get my housework done :p
I can tell with Stella as soon as I take her out....if she doesn't dive into my chest or under my arm for snuggles , I don't mess with her, just carry her over to her tree and let her be...I talk more to her and offer foods and that works out fine. I learn something everyday from them all :)

My boy Yoshi is ALWAYS in the mood for a snuggle though :)
He will get adamant about being petted , he will gently put my finger in his mouth and put it exactly where he needs scratching :)
Yes , I love my Yoshi to pieces :) :) :)
As I have been writing this , I am convinced my choice would be a TOO :)
He just has that power over me I guess :)

But honestly, I think you would enjoy a Macaw a lot MareMiller
You might have picked a Macaw.....you are definitely the right person for one , thats for sure :)

Well, I can tell you how Zaf is.

First of all, Zaf LOVES the floor! He'll practically kill to go play on the floor. I have to watch that though because he's been known to get in a great deal of trouble down there. It has to be extra supervised.

And when I'm giving another bird attention and Zaf is in his cage, he also tends to go to the cage bottom. But in his case he will start sliding certain play objects around its grate (as if he's playing hockey). He usually also begins throwing the objects up in the air and grasping them with one foot then shaking them up and down as he hangs from the cage's side panel by his beak and flaps his wings. The objects he really likes to use for this play aggression are empty 1-gallon plastic water jugs and shiny metal bowls. This routine seems to be his way of saying "Hey! I'm here and I'm a factor!" in hopes of getting me to divert my attention back to him as soon as possible.

Then sometimes when Zaf has to spend a little extra time in his cage he'll sit on one of the perches and crouch down with his wings slightly lifted as to suggest that he wants to leap into the air while maintaining a devastated expression on his face - that's his way of trying to look pathetic. When I finally open his cage door to rescue him he leaps and/or swings over to me as quickly as possible and then melts against me for some quality snuggle time. He's a lot like 'blue glue' from that point on. He also loves to take naps on my chest. For years he slept on my chest at night and wouldn't have it any other way. I've modified that routine though (to a point) to make it safer for him while we're both asleep. But Zaf is definitely a HUGE snuggle bug!

He's also obsessed with crawling into one of my transport kennel carriers to play in and guard. If I put one of those on the floor he's simply goin' down their, and pronto!
