So I finally took pictures of my guys in their crates. I'm sorry I don't have a better one of Savannah so you can see the whole thing. If anyone wants a picture of her in it outside of the car let me know. I don't put anything in her crate except a perch when going back and forth to work. But when we go to the vet or travel farther I have stainless steel bowls I put in the carrier just like Quincy's. I also don't put paper in her carrier going back and forth to work because the wind blows it and it flies everywhere. The plastic tray is washable.

I am also posting pics of Quincy's new work cage. I found the cage and a tree for on craigslist. They were asking $200 but I got them down to $140.00. It was an 1 1/2 from my house but I think it was still a good deal!

I would also like to report that we are up to twice a week this week for trips to the store. The birds seem to be enjoying it. Savannah is coming out of her cage regularly now and will hang out for long periods of time. Quincy is still adjusting to his new cage. Today is only the second day he has used it. So he is not traveling from the top perch yet. But I know he will in time! Enjoy the pics!

Both Quincy and Savannah are THE luckiest fids in the world to be going to work with you. And what great news that Savannah is now stepping up so much better.

Quincy's new cage looks GREAT!!!! And I love the manzanita tree, too!!!

Thanks Wendy! Savannah is doing better as I learn what she is trying to tell me. LOL! We are still working on step up and she is getting better about doing it. I really do think she enjoys being at work. I hope in another month I will have them with me 3 times a week!

I think the cage I got Quincy is the perfect size for him at work. I leave the door open so eventually he can roam out onto the tree. Now if I can only find a good deal on a tree for Savannah! Time to keep the eyes open on craigslist again, I guess. LOL!

Thanks so much for posting these! I'm trying to get ideas on how to get Frankie a better setup for traveling. This gives me a good feel for how to make it work a little better. Frankie's travel cage looks just like Quincy's but is about halfway between the size of the two. I have bowls that clamp onto the bars, but I need to work on getting a perch that fits. When I first brought Frankie home, I just put a towel in the bottom of the cage because I didn't have much to work with. She pretty much just stayed hanging on the side of the cage the whole way, mostly because she was stressed. But that was her first trip with me too.

I have a difficult time finding large bird supplies where I live. You would think being so close to the capital city of WV that there would be more variety, but I guess there just aren't enough large bird owners around here to create the demand. Thank goodness for forums like this and online vendors, or it would all be impossible.

I have the same problem in VT. We have less then 700,000 people in the whole state which makes are options for shopping down right awful sometimes! I have to do a lot of shopping online. The perch in Savannah's kennel I bought on Amazon.com. I measured the width and found the perfect size. It works very well!
