The people I've been talking to is forcing me to pick them up earlier then I expected and I'm not ready for them so I'm rushing a bit and started to panic... I have to pick them up by Friday. My tank is not sold yet, people are interested but not gone yet so I have to make room else where for them for the time being until the tank is gone. I don't have a cage for them yet so I'm rushing around looking for a cage, gonna make phone calls first thing in the morning. I hate to do things at the last minute, but I've got no choice if I want the birds. So I have to make a 3 hr road trip to pick these babies up by myself which I was not expecting....ugh...I'm freakin' out....lol

I was still doing research on them since I've never had one before. Even though we've been wanting them the past 5 years, I wasn't ready for them until the end of the month....I'm very very nervous right now...Super excited too...What a mixture...Cross my fingers hoping everything comes through...

Hey Mikey chill out. My god you have a SC 2 & B & G Macaw how hard can a pair of eclectus be. LOL. I understand I have also got myself in those circumstances at times & you know what it really does work out. Just take a step back & a big deep breath once you have picked up the pair you'll wonder why you where so stressed.

By the way congratulations Eclectus are wonderful birds & if you need a hand just let me know. Although i don't think you'll have any problems.

Get news mike they rescues? I've been servhing high and low in northern Ireland and cn not find any parrot rescue I've been wanting to give a bird in need a home but cnt find anywhere

Wellllll, there is a mixture of Congrats & I feel for you brother. I'm glad they are both going to a wonderful home that will treat them like kings and queens, but the added stress aint helping you here. But just think, in a few days, it will all be a distant memory and then it will be on to spoiling them rotten.

No these guys are not rescue birds. There is NO rescue near by me!!!! Nor will any of them allow me to adopt one because I'm too far away. So I'm out of luck trying to adopt one so i give up. I looked everywhere, called everyone so I've given up on it completely. I'm picking up these babies 3 hrs away from me. I'm paying him $900 for the pair which my friends told me it's a great deal and grab it while I can. I finally got ahold of a brand new giant cage at a great deal. My friend recommended him to me, it happens that it's along the way to pickup the new babies. So I will be VERY busy putting the cage together and caring for the new babies! :)

Congrats!!! I know you have been wanting a pair. They really are great!!! Skyler, I believe, is done biting and I absolutely love him completely!!! Even if he was still biting I would still love him, but now he is more of a joy to have. :D I know you are going to absolutely adore and love having them.

Ur going be busy indeed but least will have 2 new babies. Im wanting get pair at some point too they are beautiful . What type cage did u find?

I have 3 and what a joy to my life they are. They will provide you with so many years of enjoyment and this time will no longer matter. Slow down and enjoy what is to come. Be sure and buy enough formula to have on hand.

jew, I can't wait....You started it!!!!! LoL!

patterson, I got the HQ Dome Top 40x30 Big cage. Brand new still in box, the guy is a distributor.

mtdoramike, that's what my bird friends told me, but I already knew when I look up their price. Breeders near by wants $995-$1200 for a baby Red-Sided.

Susan, they're not babies so no formula needed. BUT I still have to buy formula cause my tiels are having babies for sure this time (eggs are fertile) which it's very bad timing. She doesn't even have a nest box but she lays them in a dish anyway and she's been sitting on them. Last batch was all infertile, I was disappointed but at the same time with new babies coming I was hoping this batch will be infertile too cause I really did not plan on breeding them. That's why I never even put up a nest box. But it's all nature so nothing I can do to stop them from doing so. Since they paired up, it's kinda hard to separate them cause they will scream like no tomorrow and be sad.... I used to breed them many years ago so I personally know the care the babies need. I told my partner we are NOT keeping any babies so don't even think about it....lol I seriously love to, but I know my limit and I already have homes for the babies once they're ready.

Funny guy emailed me this evening offering a pair or them for 900 sterling year old hand raised if I didnt have the Greenwing pay for I would took them. The cage sounds the snizzle mike I'm sure they will love it

I was looking for M2 before ekkies came along. Now I ask the ekkies being held for me plus my partner wants them for the past 5 years and I give in on it. I couldn't find any M2 near by or adoption. Now ekkies coming people started responding to my wanting M2 ad. Even a lady that is only an hr away. Im maxed out with ekkies, plus my crazy tiel is having babies in a saucer. She laid them in there. It will hatch in the next few weeks.... ill be very busy!!! I never provide her with a box cause I didn't want babies. Last batch all 4 eggs were infertle, this time she laid 5, 5th one last night. First two have started the process so they are 100% fertile this time. Oh my my my.....I have homes for 3 so far if they hatch. Handfeeding is gonna tire me out...oh well.... :)
