Perry is super sweet. I am thinking about asking for a pal o bird for him for christmas. He went right into Timnehs old carry bag no problem. He’s also ver our going so I think he would be a prime candidate for some adventures outside. Also not being able to fly at least that I’ve seen. He can do a super jump but that’s about it. He barbers some of his outer flight feathers that I believe makes flight much more difficult for him also. Just a hypothesis so far though. I haven’t decided about getting his wings clipped or not yet. Due to my last experience if Perry doesn’t care I would prefer to keep him grounded. He’s due for a nail clip and beak trim. According to his previous schedule. I’m trying to get him to do these things on his own. also it’s winter here in old Vermont.

Perry is an amazingly mellow bird! Funny to watch him use every trick to distract you.... grooming, showing his back, gently beaking, etc!

Bill, he's adorable!

Be careful with radiated cold through the glass in the winter. I have only single pane windows and it can radiate some real chill when temps are cold like they are now.

I have to order him a couple more of these perches. He will go upstairs to climb up to his perch. He’s really good at climbing curtains it’s a little scary. I’ve gone to the bathroom and come back and he’s climbed up top of the curtain rod. He can fly well enough to soften a fall though I’m pretty sure. He really only chews on one side of his feathers. He’s going through a bit of a molt right now so i’m waiting for those to be replaced. Perry is super mellow and making himself right at home. It’s like he’s been here forever already. Thank you everyone for the kind words.

WOW! You two have bonded so quickly! It has been so heartwarming to see you two go from a place where you each had such heartache and loss to full blown BFFs. I have no doubt that your bonds will continue to grow and flourish. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you guys. Bill thanks for the heads up, i do have double panes windows but it is cool to the touch but not drafty. His perch doesn’t seem to get cool so that’s good. I **** the radiator off that was underneath him cause it was getting really hot. I was afraid he would burn himself trying to climb up to his window perch. always something.
