Perjo - Female CAG hatch Nov 2015
Very hot day in Ohio where I live today considering I have no AC in my home right now.

Noticed Perjo sitting like this today, first time I recall seeing her sit with slightly saggy wings that are a bit open.

Usually she looks like this when she sits still.

Sorry pics are sideways.

Is this possibly from heat and she is trying to cool off. As I type this she seems to be sitting more normal with wings high and tight. LOL.

They do that to release some body heat, totally normal considering ;/
Also panting is common when they are very hot, I suggest lightly misting when you walk past on very hot days.

Rb does this sometimes when he's sunning himself on a hot day.
He stays in the sun even though he could move...

Misting is an excellent idea, providing Perjo will tolerate. For skittish birds, spraying from a distance with a trajectory that lands the water from above is helpful. Others love to be doused with a spray targeted to various parts of the body.

Perjo loves baths with the garden hose and is fine with them indoors with a mister usually. It's when I try to mist her with aloe vera that she freaks, she sees the tint of the chemical and knows the difference, eitehr that or the odor of the aloe vera bothers her.
