Just trying to see what everyone uses as there perch litter.

I am currently using shredded newspaper, but Fred loves to take it and just throw it on the ground.

I tried a different carefresh for birds but it stunk so bad that I dumped it after a day and went back to newspaper.

What do you mean by perch litter? Are you wrapping your perches? Or do you mean cage liner? I never use, and do not recommend carefresh, sand, pellets, or aspen. You want a smooth surface as the cage liner that will allow you to examine their droppings daily to make sure it looks healthy. Shredded paper will also hide poop.

The cages should be cleaned daily, I use newspaper, white blue print paper, brown package paper(comes in rolls), and newsprint pads purchased online or art stores.
