Penny is my study buddy

Yesterday I was studying for finals and decided to set up Penny's playstand right next to my desk so she could keep me company. There was some nice natural sunlight coming in through the window and she looked so beautiful so I decided to take some pictures. She's a pretty good study buddy....but there's only one problem. How the heck am I supposed to focus on studying when I have this adorable little face staring at me?!?!

Studying with an adorable bird around is difficult. It's even more difficult if you have the breed known as "Paper Shredder" . Kayak has to stay in her cage if I'm using a text book or notebook to study with. All it takes is a split second of me being distracted and she can tear a big chunk out of a page. She did it to a Political Science book of mine a few semesters ago. I learned then to keep her away from books. Carlisle is perfectly happy to hang out with me while I study.

The playstand was given to me when I got Penny. It is a tabletop playpen made by Blue Ribbon Cage Connection, but unfortunately last time I checked their website they had discontinued them .
