Hi all, i've been trying to get our little Quaker to swap over to pellets from seeds. I'm about a week into trying consistent conversion tactics but she seems to thwart all my efforts!
Current pellet brand i'm trying is Vetafarm South American Pellets which is what i was told to get for her species. She will try breaking them up sometimes (seems more out of a desire to make a mess than eat), normally she will ignore them and go for seed that is in the same bowl and then not eat any more when her seed falls bellow the pellets.
The current tactic i'm using is to do a pellet/seed mash using warm water. It still sounds like shes going for seed only despite how much the pellets are sticking to them. Also open to other strategies if you have any!
I'm wondering if there are any Quaker owners in Australia who have had success with pellet brands available locally or able to be shipped to Aus. I've tried to purchase oven fresh bites but the company doesn't ship here.
Keen to get her on a healthy diet and away from just seeds. Thankfully she loves her fresh veggies. Thanks everyone.
