Introducing myself to the forum: Asia is a Peach Fronted Conure, we have been buddies for a little over a year and are truly best friends! She tolerates my wife and teen daughter, ignores one dog, and is developing a buddy relationship with our other dog. It's absolutely facinating to see how our relationship deepens every week in many forms. She's her own bird with strong opinions on most everything that happens in the house, but also has learned to compromise on some things like being in the room with us without constantly climbing over me, prolonged contact calls get her unceremoniously dumped back to her sleeping cage in my bedroom so they are far less frequent than they used to be. She's not fond of fingers touching her but recently has allowed limited touching in certain late-night cuddling sessions with me. I love how she lets me know we're good by her tender kisses to my lips & nose and rubbing her beak along the back of my hand or chin! She says "What cha doing?", Hi Baby!", "Do a little dance.", and several other things including "Bazinga!" from our favorite show "The Big Bang Theory". I would be happy to help others considering a PFC or help with issues we've gone through if I can. Thanks for the Forum, its great! Greg in Iowa
