Parrot folks - help needed!

Omg that is horrible. I hope they get it addressed ASAP.

It always pisses me off when one irresponsible pet owner makes life difficult for the rest of us. We've lived for 5 years with Kiwi in a one bedroom apartment, and never had a single complaint of any kind about him. When he gets excessively noisy (happens to the best of birds) he gets one minute to calm himself down before he gets a time out to make him calm down. No one ever knows we have him until they see him. In fact, when he's sitting in front of the window, our direct neighbor will tap on it and say hi to him when she walks by, and everyone loves seeing him getting baths out on our "porch" area in the summer. I'm sure there are plenty of responsible parrot owners like us in CT who don't allow their birds to be unruly beasts that disturb the neighborhood. I'm sure there are plenty of neighbors in CT who enjoy seeing their neighbors beautiful birds in the summer and have never had problem 1 with them living next door.

It would make SO much more sense to instead pass an ordinance that owners of any disruptive animal (bird, cat, dog, whatever) have x-amount of days to correct the issue or they have to give the animal up outside the city. Don't single out just bird owners, and don't force those who have been responsible in training their animals to give up their pet!
