Strange really. A loud noise woke me up at 1 30 but I was too tired to see what it was. It came from my right. I listened to see if the birds were gonna be scared. Nothing. I went back to sleep. At 2 10 Ace started flying around his cage. I thought no biggie he's just awake for a bit. Then he started screaming. So I go uncover his cage and he settled down. Joy is ok. I checked on Jet next. At first he seemed fine. Then suddenly he decided he couldn't get to me fast enough. He practically flew to my shoulder.

Now I feel a little bad because Ace was scared first and Jets getting all the attention so I offered Ace my finger. He stepped right up and stayed there for several minutes. He then decided to fly off.

I tried to put him back in his cage. NO. He would only go in with Joy. Ace wouldn't go back so he is still on my shoulder.

I have to get up at 6 am too. Oh well. I was warned it was like having a toddler.:)

2 44 and I think it's sleepy time again.

Poor little guys lol, mom was right there for comfort at least :). I have a night light by my budgies. I've heard that it makes them less likely to have night frights. I don't know that for a fact, but I feel more comfortable if they have a light since they're at the other end of the house from where I sleep. At least they'd be able to see to get oriented again.
