Han Solo - SI Male Eclectus
We only have a few specialist retail parrot shops in the UK and theyā€™re only online.
one Northern one sells palm nuts , so I bought a small pack for our boy. Still quite expensive for about 12-15 nuts but He just loves them. We keep them frozen and he has one for the weekend. He canā€™t quite get through the nut centre, but he loves stripping off all the outside fibres. I can hide them in his toy box and he spends time searching then playing/eating it.
the down side of a toy box is every day I have to pick it all up again šŸ¤£

Love it! I've also been looking for palm nuts in the U.S. but no luck. I hear the are rich in healthy oils but sounds great for a weekend treat.
Cleanup it never endsšŸ˜†

Hi, I'm also in the UK and looking for somewhere that sells palm nuts, can I ask where you order yours from? Thanks

It was northern parrots, but Iā€™ve searched around and nobody seems to have any in stock for the last few months.. but you can get the organic red palm oil instead (Nutiva) from Amazon. Itā€™s human grade, Rainforest and animal friendly. If thatā€™s too expensive for you, Northern parrots do their own organic parrot version or last of the bunch parrot essentials do a non organic one.
Solo will eat it straight off my finger or try to dive in the jar if he can.. but otherwise I put a couple of drops in his food every now and then. Heā€™s is the same with Adsas organic coconut oil,(but that doesnā€™t have the carrotene in it)
