Iām not in a hurry to find a placement for these guys and they have already been with me for several months as I pursued answers about the hen. I just figured I may as well let it be known here that they are available (since I promised my husband I would try not to take any more foster budgies, and we currently have three!)
Neither bird is tame and I took them out of a borderline hoarding situation. The henās cere is gone, you can see into her nasal passages. She has what my vet says looks like a benign tumor that partially obstructs one nare, but it doesnāt seem to be growing.
They have been disease tested and are clean.
Here is what Iām looking for in an adopter:
-willing to have an in depth conversation about what budgies need.
-Willing to travel to meet or pick up (no shipping due to her questionable respiratory condition) in Columbus GA.
-Willing to love them even if they never become tame.
-Committed to NOT ALLOWING THEM TO BREED! This pair has been bred in the past and as you all know Iām not against breeding, but we DO NOT breed health compromised birds!
-willing to provide references and/or photos of the setup they would be going into.
Female is green pied (Iām sure there is some sort of specific pied, budgie genetics make my head swim), male is green opaline.
